One statistic a policy does not make..

Here we are again, a one dimensional statistic argument which purports to support "It means motorists are forced to buy cars that are worse for the environment and household budgets"..

Umm might it have something to do with the fact that Australians chose to buy a lot of 3-4 litre 4wd 'tanks'? Or some other 'average' statistical dimension that said 'think tank' haven't even looked at?

Averages tend to hide facts not illuminate them. The 'beating drum' to get EVs on the road post haste smells of a propaganda push to get governments to stump up even more grant money to support the purchase of EVs (it's working in some jurisdictions, like the ACT, where financial support is being splashed out into the electorate in support of EV purchases)..
